Dane Smith and Hunter Reed are lion shifters, who have been battling the fact that they have a mating bond between them that shouldn't exist. Meeting Xanthe White and recognizing her as theirs now makes it impossible for them to ignore it any longer. At first she thinks that it's just Dane and Hunter who are fated, but it soon becomes apparent that all three are destined for each other.

Despite her past, Xanthe has made a home in Grey River. Under the impression that they were helping her to reunite with her sister, Dane and Hunter place Xanthe right in the path of the very danger she was hiding from. Just as the three of them are finally on the same page, someone from Xanthe’s childhood poses a threat.

Dane and Hunter know they must keep her safe, but by the time they are able to pinpoint where the danger is coming from, it just might be too late.

Dane shook his head. “Hell, no! I am not the planner in this team, Hunter and you damn well know it. I’m more of the jump in feet first, smack a few people around, and apologize later if I’m wrong kinda guy.”

Hunter’s grin returned at that. “Yeah, I know, but I figured you might just have one fucking good idea in your life, and now might be the time to have it.”

Hunter walked over to press a kiss to Xanthe’s cheek, and Dane’s heart melted at the sight of the two of them together. Where he would have once expected to feel the beginnings of a jealous rage at seeing another man kiss his mate, because it was Hunter, he didn’t. It just made some kind of weird sense that Hunter has feelings for Xanthe, and that their mating bond would be a triad. “See you tomorrow, beautiful,” Hunter whispered.

Dane followed suit and pressed a goodbye kiss to Xanthe’s cheek before the two of them walked from the room. Visiting hours had been over for some time, so the corridors were quiet, filled only with the medical staff bustling about and doing their jobs.

“Chris mentioned that she would be strong enough to leave this place in the next couple of days,” Dane informed Hunter as they left the hospital for the car park. “We need to think about what the hell we do next. Every time we leave her my lion paces, roars, and becomes a pain in my ass for however long we are away from her.”

“I know, mine, too.” Hunter ran frustrated hands through his hair. “I don’t like leaving her alone. We need to convince her that we’re meant to be a part of her life. Maybe we should talk with Ty and Trent. They’ll know more about being fated to the same woman.”

“Yeah, that’s a good idea,” Dane said as they reached his truck in the car park and he saw Hunter’s parked just in front of it. “Xanthe’s going to want to stay here in Grey River and I gotta tell you, Hunter, I have no problem with that. I like this place.”

“Me, too.”

“You know what that means, right?”

“Yeah,” Hunter growled. “We’re going to have to ask Ty and Trent to accept us, and pledge fealty to the pack.”

“You think you can do that? Submit to another shifter? And, I feel I must point this out to you, o-he-who-thinks-he-is-king–of-the-jungle,” Dane couldn’t help grinning at the narrowed gaze his friend cast him. “But that shifter is, in fact, canine in species.”

“Fuck you, Dane,” Hunter said as he stomped off to his truck. “You’re gonna have to bare your throat to him too, you know, and besides, the alternative is leaving Grey River and Xanthe behind, or trying to convince her to leave her home. Neither of which will make her happy.”

“True, and making her happy is our new mission in life, so that means we ask to join, pledge, and learn to howl at the moon.” Dane grinned as Hunter stopped suddenly climbing into his truck and turned to shoot him a look that clearly said oh-hell-the-fuck-no!

“And that is how I know I am more king of the jungle than you will ever be.” Hunter shook his head at him.

“And why is that?”

“Because,” Hunter said with a grin, “I sure as hell ain’t learning how to howl at the moon. I’m gonna teach these Grey River wolves how to roar!”

Maia Dylan lives, loves and works in beautiful New Zealand. She married her best friend and they have two adorable, but stubborn children who obviously take after their father.

Maia’s career has featured a lot of travel, and she has filled her time at airports and in the air with books, books and more books. Her love of erotic paranormal romance has seen her amass a huge library. She has been an avid reader and lover of ménage romances since she read her first book in this genre about three years ago.

In January of this year, Maia submitted her first ever manuscript to Siren Publishing. She wasn’t at all confident that it would be accepted and in fact she was expecting a nicely worded email with a resounding no! Much to her surprise less than two weeks later she had an acceptance and a signed contract in hand. Outside of writing, Maia loves to eat, so she loves to cook! Her herb garden is legendary, but she still has issues getting tomatoes to grow. She’s been a performer for years, and has even sung on international stages, she would love to own a classic Ford Mustang one day and of course have the opportunity to race it on a race track without fear of a speeding ticket.

Although ultimately her dream is to be able to write full time on a sandy beach with a Mai Tai at hand, she is quite happy to fit her writing in when she can. As long as someone reads her books, gets a laugh and maybe come to love her characters and much as she does, then she feels that she is living her dreams no matter what!
